  • Select factors to consider when planning for active synchronous online learning
  • Identify appropriate strategies to address common issues with synchronous learning

Background:

WHAT: Synchronous online learning occurs when learners “meet” all at the same time to learn using web-based technology.  WHY: Synchronous online learning can reduce the feelings of lack of community and “distance” that students may experience in online courses.
